Our small truffiere has 2 varieties of trees, French Oak which hosts the Périgord French black truffle (tuber melanosporum) and Italian Stone Pine which hosts the bianchetto (tuber borchii). Our first trees were planted in 2016 and a second round of trees were planted in 2017.

Both our organic French black and bianchetto truffles are harvested with the help of our truffle dogs between June and August.  Our truffles are packaged in cold chain packaging that is suitable for home composting or can be recycled.

Our two truffle dogs are German Shorthair Pointers. Cyril, our older male loves to hunt for rabbits and to be accompanied on long walks or a swim in the dam. He is fast, intelligent, has an exceptional nose however he is also very stubborn.

Nutmeg is our younger addition who has already started to hunt for truffles. She is eager to please and diligent and could become the top truffle sniffer in no time!
